Last updated: March 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PSFutureMail website and services. By creating an account, using the service, or clicking to accept these Terms, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use PSFutureMail. Any new features or tools we add will also be subject to these Terms unless we state otherwise.
2. Description of the Service
PSFutureMail allows you to write letters, schedule them for future delivery to an email address of your choice, and optionally share them publicly. The service is intended for personal, reflective use. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice.
3. Account Registration
To use PSFutureMail, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information as needed
- Keep your password confidential and secure
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
You may sign up using email and password or through third-party sign-in (e.g., Google). If you use a third-party provider, that provider may share certain information with us in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use PSFutureMail. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 16, you may only use the service with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 16 without such consent.
5. Subscriptions and Payment
PSFutureMail offers one free letter per year. Additional letters require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed at the time of purchase. Fees are charged in advance for the subscription period. We may change pricing with reasonable notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law and our refund policy as described on the pricing page. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use PSFutureMail only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the service for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
- Harass, abuse, defame, threaten, or harm others
- Include content about another living person without their consent
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your identity
- Post content that is false, misleading, hateful, discriminatory, obscene, violent, or otherwise objectionable
- Infringe intellectual property rights of others or of PSFutureMail
- Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other accounts
- Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or collect data from the service
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or use the service for commercial advertising
We reserve the right to refuse to deliver a letter, remove content, or suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these rules.
7. Your Content
"Content" means the text, images, and other materials you create or upload when using PSFutureMail. You retain ownership of your Content. By submitting Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and deliver it as necessary to provide the service. For public letters you choose to share, you grant us the right to display that Content on our website and in related materials.
You represent that you have the right to submit your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or the rights of any third party. You are solely responsible for your Content. We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume liability for any Content posted by users.
8. Letters, Content Limits, and Delivery
To schedule a letter, you provide the content, recipient email address, and delivery date. Each letter may be up to 100,000 characters. Paid plans may include file attachments (e.g. images and video) subject to stated limits (such as total size per letter). Free accounts do not include attachments. We will attempt to deliver the letter on the specified date. You are responsible for ensuring the email address is correct and that the recipient can receive mail. We are not liable for failed delivery due to invalid addresses, spam filters, or other factors outside our control.
You may edit or cancel a letter before it is sent. Once a letter has been delivered, it cannot be recalled or edited. We do not pre-screen letter content; however, we may refuse to deliver or remove content that violates these Terms.
9. Public Letters
You may choose to share a letter publicly after it is delivered. Public letters are displayed anonymously. By making a letter public, you understand that it may be read by anyone who visits our public letters page. We reserve the right to remove public letters that violate these Terms, contain personally identifiable information of others, or that we deem inappropriate. We do not pre-screen public letters and are not responsible for their content.
If you believe a public letter infringes your rights or is inappropriate, contact us at hello@psfuturemail.com.
10. Intellectual Property
The PSFutureMail website, branding, design, and underlying technology (excluding your Content) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without our prior written consent. You may use the service for its intended purpose only. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the service.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
PSFutureMail may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., sign-in providers, payment processors). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk. Our inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
12. Privacy and Data Security
Your use of PSFutureMail is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
We implement technical safeguards to protect your data, including Industry-standard encryption at rest, database redundancy, automatic backups, 24/7 monitoring, and audit trails for delivery. These measures help ensure your letters are stored securely and delivered reliably.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
PSFutureMail is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. PSFutureMail is a personal reflection tool and is not a substitute for professional mental health, medical, or legal advice.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PSFutureMail and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PSFutureMail and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
16. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, strikes, government actions, internet or telecommunications failures, or power outages.
17. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service immediately, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. We may retain your data as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.
18. Changes to the Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we may notify you by email or through a notice on the service. Your continued use of PSFutureMail after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.
19. Copyright and Intellectual Property Claims
If you believe that content on PSFutureMail infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us at hello@psfuturemail.com with a description of the work, the location of the allegedly infringing material, and your contact information. We will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include removing the content. If you knowingly make a false claim, you may be liable for damages.
20. Electronic Communications
By using PSFutureMail, you consent to receive communications from us electronically (e.g., by email or through the service). You agree that any notices, agreements, or other communications we send you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
21. General Provisions
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PSFutureMail regarding the service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without restriction.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction applicable to your use of the service. Any dispute shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law. Where permitted, you agree that any claim must be brought within one year of the date the claim arose.
22. Contact
